Cargill Unveils US$200 Million Palm Oil Refinery in Lampung Enhancing Traceable, Responsibly Sourced Edible Oil Supply

Lampung, Indonesia — 20 October 2025 — Cargill today inaugurated its new palm oil refinery in Lampung, Indonesia, enhancing the company’s capability to deliver fully sustainable and traceable palm oil to customers across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Marking 50 years of operations in the country, the state-of-the-art US$200 million facility underscores Cargill’s dedication to growing with Indonesia and strengthening its role in the global food and agriculture supply chain.

The Governor of Lampung, Rahmat Mirzani Djausal, S.T., M.M., stated:
“We welcome the selection of Lampung as the location for Cargill’s new refinery, which reflects investor confidence in the province’s potential as an investment-friendly destination, as well as in the growth of Indonesia’s industrial sector. The Lampung refinery is designed to process up to 3,000 metric tons of palm oil per day and is capable of refining one million metric tons of responsibly sourced and traceable palm oil annually. Equipped with a wastewater treatment plant, energy-efficient equipment, and a water management system designed to minimize the impact of our operations on the environment and surrounding community while maintaining excellent standards of product quality.
