Demonstrating commitment to health sector in the communities of its operational areas,Cargill wins third place nationally for the Best Family Planning Service Provider and was appointed as the Foster Father of Stunted Children.

Cargill’s Health Facility located in its Tropical Palm Business Unit in West Kalimantan, on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 was named 3rd place national level winner in the Private Clinic category in the Best Family Planning (KB, Keluarga Berencana) service competition organised by BKKBN Family Planning Service Access Development. Cargill’s health facility was selected on the basis of assessing factors such as availability of building facilities, contraceptive devices and medicines, health workers and also the end-to-end standard process of family planning services, from the service system to arrangement of schedules.
 

Cargill’s PT Harapan Sawit Lestari clinic in West Kalimantan is ranked third nationally for family planning services in the regional II private clinics category.

 

Cargill’s Health Facility previously won the first place at the West Kalimantan provincial level and subsequently represented the province at the national level.

In addition to receiving this award, Cargill was appointed the Foster Father of Stunted Children (BAAS, Bapak Asuh Anak Stunting) in Kalimantan. BAAS is a government initiative and Cargill actively supports this to reduce the number of stunted children, especially around the company’s operational areas. The BAAS title was presented personally by Zamhir Setiawan the Director of BKKBN Family Planning Service Access Development, to Edwin Suryajaya, Deputy GM of Cargill’s Tropical Palm Business Unit in West Kalimantan.
