Grain & oilseeds

Cargill’s grain and oil seed business connects producers and users of grain and oilseeds. We operate on an integrated global basis to source, process, transport, and distribute grain and oilseeds around the world. The main bulk products we handle are wheat, corn, oilseeds, barley and sorghum, as well as vegetable oils and meals.

In Indonesia

We started our business in Indonesia with the import of soybeans in 1999. Over the past 10 years, our business expanded substantially to comprise both grain and oilseed supply chain activities that serve a wide variety of local customers active in both the food and feed industry. For example:

• We supply soybeans for distribution to wholesalers that serve local tofu and tempeh producers.
• We supply soybean meal and micro ingredients to local animal feed manufacturers.
• We also source oilseed products like crude palm oil and manufacture crude coconut oil to mainly supply Cargill’s own refineries located in Malaysia, India, China, Europe and USA.
